Well let's meet the owner...here I am!

Military Life

My back ground is the military, born and bred, My dad is an ex para..(if you know you know)

Military life is a little different but in my opinion not in a bad way. It's disciplined and organised. And you need to get stuff done without excuses!

So, where does this fit in to the cleaning industry? Well between postings you had to clean your house or flat that you were living in before leaving and if it wasn't up to scratch you were fined! And not just £10 or £20 they were hefty fines, these were also marked on the armed personnel record so where ever they were posted to it was logged. Thankfully my dad never had anything logged with thanks to my mum who was the main one who did the cleaning, that's where my sister and myself were roped in to help!

Every nut and bolt had to be unscrewed and cleaned. I guess every armed personnel are highly disciplined in cleanliness from personal hygiene to personal issued kit so it was expected.

For me this was the norm, I didn't know any different.

Civi Life

Well this turned out to be a lot different than I imagined after leaving the forces, everyone is so laid back, probably not a-lot of respect and manners, the feeling of being short changed springs to mind. 

I have always done cleaning as a main job or as a second job, I get great satisfaction from completing big tasks.

It was when I moved to Bridgend, South Wales that thing's took a turn for me, in 2018 Cleaning with Distinction was born. I was cleaning houses by myself as a second job and I was always receiving comments like.. "well my last cleaner didn't do that" or "wow I want you to hire you weekly" then I had client's saying that "you need to train others how you clean" Let's say the rest is history.

Moving Forward

So many ideas, but we'll start working on bio hazard cleaning as we've recently been certified in this area. Over the years I have met and helped a-lot of client's who have needed our help. I'd like to help many more of those who don't have family and for families that cry in silence for help.

I'd love to help and donate more to nationwide and local charities. Over the years I have participated in events, my biggest one was the Tandem Sky Dive, wow what an experience! I had to have a little taste on what my dad did as a job (and some stories he has too, but I'll save them for another day). I did this to raise money for Alzheimer's research, my late Grandad had Alzheimer's and still research is needed to help us understand more about this disease.
